This workshop will be an overview of the DIR/Floortime® model of the late Dr. Stanley Greenspan. Certificates will be provided through ICDL (Interdisciplinary Council for Developmental and Learning Disorders), allowing participants access to the ICDL directory and further training.
We will cover the 6 developmental milestones in depth with videos showcasing the various techniques. Frequent opportunities for group discussion will be provided. We will also cover the importance of relationships with support on how to mobilize students and children to achieve higher milestones.
DIR/Floortime® is adaptive to any age of development, from early intervention through adolescence. Intermediate clinical-level Floortime® techniques will be showcased through case studies and video footage with open workshop discussion. Participants will leave the workshop feeling equipped to support their clients with fresh, new ideas on behavior, sensori-motor, and emotional intervention.
