Description

As therapists we need to wrap our heads around the multitude of behaviors we see in our centers today. Each of these behaviors impedes social and learning function even when we know intelligence and cognitive skills are certainly available. In this workshop we will dive deeper into how development impacts on our ability to have and maintain social connections as well as how it impacts our ability to attend, learn, and apply executive functioning skills to the occupation of being a school student.

This workshop is for ALL ages as we need to build and define skills in early development as well as discuss what this would look like in further developmental stages of life. Included will be theory, evidence-based, and practical ideas/strategies shared throughout the day. The presenter’s casual teaching style allows for discussion in different case scenarios. Attendees will feel equipped and ready to meet their clients’ expectations with additional thought process, clinical reflection, and practical application.
